Many believe that teams can ride their strengths to success, but the best teams do a great job at mitigating their weaknesses. That said, all four of the North’s teams failed to fully mitigate their greatest weaknesses this offseason.

Now, it’s not like each team is riddled with deficiencies, but the ones that they do contain have the potential to be debilitating. Almost like an Achilles heel. Each of these teams’ Achilles heel is why they stack up so evenly and why this division is ultimately up for grabs — as it seems to be more often than not.

What areas concern Packer fans the most? Are there certain players the Lions should have evaluated more carefully? The Vikings underwent a few major changes at various positions; will this cost them some games? As for the Bears… well, we’ll get to that later on.

The North as a whole must find ways to hide these weaknesses and play towards their strengths. However, that is going to seem easier said than done as we get to the nitty-gritty of each team’s situation. With that being said, here are the Achilles Heels of every NFC North team.
