They selected Notre Dame tight end, Cole Kmet, with pick 43 in the second round. He is going to come in and be a useful weapon for Matt Nagy’s offense. We don’t know for sure if it is going to be Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles throwing him the football but either way, he is an upgrade at the position no matter how you look at it.

Seven picks later, they selected cornerback Jaylon Johnson at pick 50. He was a defensive back for Utah before coming to Chicago. He is going to join the elite defense and be a big part of their backfield. He should join Kyle Fuller and Eddie Jackson as a part of a very good young backfield.
