When God closes a door his Mother opens a window
Eleven and a half years ago, I started this blog. I learned to navigate WordPress, create a fan page, and I even went to “Twitter School.”
Over the years, I’ve communicated with Catholics from all over and some I’ve even met. To this day, I’m friends on Facebook with people who I met through my writing. Their prayers and friendship have been invaluable to me on this journey.
The other day a fellow blogger told me that the newspaper that owns ChicagoNow has decided to not continue the platform. It was not a surprise. The reality that this could end started to form within me.
I wanted you, my subscribers, to know how much you have all meant to me over the years. As a convert, I felt I was constantly learning from all of you. You have done more for the formation of my faith than you realize.
I am no longer on Twitter, but you can still interact with me and others on my Facebook page. I still write for CatholicMom.com on the fourth Thursday of every month. I own a couple of domains so I have alternatives. But this is where it all started and I will miss it.
I am reminded of an old saying that when God closes a door, his Mother opens a window. Please continue to join me as I go through the window. Hopefully, there will be someone on the other side to break the fall.
