Where Are We Going So Fast?
Times are tough but we’re tougher

You’ve got this.
Look I get it. We’ve all been through a lot. And it’s not over yet obviously. After all, as we’re beginning to think about summer fading into Fall, we’re hearing about surging cases and schools deciding on more virtual learning and people already planning a new disclaimer for the Thanksgiving table conversation — “no talk of politics, religion…. or masks.”
But, with all that, I see how you just keep picking ’em up and putting ’em down. With your eyes still clear, though your sleep has been troubled by pandemic dreams lately.
Every morning, you get up, log in and dig into your “To Do” list until it’s “To Done.” Or you make your essential way out your essential door to your essential job where you’re helping us all make it through. Or you do every other important thing that matters.
Then, as the work winds down, you push your chair back, take a breath and take it all in. That you — and me — and all of we — have made it through another day of this and still managed to find humor in a meme and a bit of humanity as we watch our colleagues realize they’ve been on mute during their particularly passionate speeches on that day’s Zoom call.
Yep, times are tough. But you’re tougher.
Which is why I’m particularly glad to know you.
