Ravenswood ArtWalk 2021: Art & more
Ravenswood ArtWalk is back. this weekend, September 11 and 12.
For 20 years, the Ravenswood ArtWalk has been a highly anticipated event for families, friends, art lovers, beer lovers, foodies and more.
The annual festival highlighted the vibrant and unique arts community in Ravenswood that has transformed former manufacturing buildings to homes for artists and creators.
The century old district has become a hub of innovation, providing vital workspaces for local artists, artisans, manufacturers, and brewers.
This event is the perfect opportunity to explore this one of a kind historic neighborhood and all it offers.
When: Saturday & Sunday (9/11-9/12) from 11am – 6pm (plus after dark events)
Where: Located along Ravenswood Avenue from Lawrence to Waveland
What: A weekend-long family-friendly celebration of the local creative community featuring an Outdoor Arts Market with over 60 local artists, food from 5411 Empanadas and Hilary’s Cookies, beer from Urban Brew Labs & Empirical Brewery, and more. Plus live performances and interactive activities.

Altered Festival, A Mixed Reality Adventure at Redline VRAltered Festival is aimed at all those who are approaching VR/AR/XR for innovative, multi-sensory experiences – exploring our senses with new forms of narration in the virtual world. The way we see, hear, taste, touch, and smell may never be the same again. This year, Altered Festival continues its mission of bringing multi-sensory VR/AR experiences from artists all over the world to the Ravenswood community and Chicago. Gallery + Tattoo Art Show and Fundraiser for Afghan Refugees. Wayward Arts Gallery + Tattoo will host a fundraiser for Refugee One, the Muslim Women’s Support Network, and World Relief Chicago, who are all working hard to support new families that will be resettling in Chicago throughout the year. In addition to some amazing art work by both established, emerging, and student artists, there will be authentic, home-cooked Afghan foods and tea for guests to enjoy.

KOVAL Outdoor Movie Night + Big Teeth’s Small Shorts Film Festival. Join Big Teeth at KOVAL (4241 N. Ravenswood) for an exclusive, outdoor screening of more than 40 short films (each under 5 minutes), ranging in genre and medium, all while enjoying spirits under the stars. The one-night-only “Best of Big Teeth” show will be comprised of favorite shorts from past 60-Second Film Festivals as well as favorites from the Big Teeth Small Shorts Film Fest.
