Emmy Award-winning TV Host and Journalist Tamron Hall Thrills With her Debut Novel “As The Wicked Watch”
Tamron Hall teams with co-author and veteran journalist T. Shawn Taylor to bring their years of experience covering police and crime to “As the Wicked Watch,” the first Jordan Manning novel. It is a story that’s both thrilling and socially relevant, ripped from today’s headlines.
When we meet Jordan Manning, a Texas native, she is working the crime beat at a news station in Chicago. She’s one step closer to her dream: a coveted anchor chair on a national network. But her world is shaken to the core when the body of a 15-year-old girl, Masey James, is found in an abandoned lot. Masey comes to represent for Jordan all the frustration and anger that her job often forces her to repress. Putting the rest of her work and her fraying personal life aside, Jordan does everything she can to give the story the coverage it desperately requires, and that a missing Black child would so rarely get.
This story, told in the first person, makes us hungry to know what else Jordan has up. We can’t wait until Tamron and Shawn (a 2020 People to Watch inductee and 220 Publishing author) give us the second book in the Jordan Manning series, which is currently in the works.
“As the Wicked Watch” (William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollinsPublishers) is available wherever books are sold.
