Donesha — Petraits Rescue

Donesha is a gorgeous one-year-old, tan and white smooth coat female guinea pig with beautiful ruby eyes looking for loving guardian.
This little girl is very sweet and handleable. She was turned in to Friends of Petraits alone when her human’s allergies became too disruptive to keep her. We’re not sure if she’ll get along with other guinea pigs yet. I think guinea pigs are happiest with other pigs, even if they are in neighboring cages and have closely monitored play dates, so no one gets hurt.
Guinea pigs eat a diet of unlimited Timothy hay and Orchard hay – in fact it should be 75 percent of their diet. They also need fresh greens and veggies, like Romaine, red leaf, green leaf, cilantro and bell peppers, daily and a quarter cup of pellets, to get their vitamin C.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent web site http://www.guinealynx.info/
Donesha deserves a loving family who will handle her daily, keep her well fed, and keep her habitat nice and clean. She would love to come out of her cage daily to be gently handled and run supervised inside your home.
If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting lovely Donesha, please contact [email protected].
She is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
Her adoption fee of $35 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue.
For an additional $75, we’ll include a starter kit of everything you need to care for her including a cage, hay, litter, food, hidey hut and water bottle.
