Cubs @ Tigers Series Preview: (8/24-8/26)
The Cubs salvaged the final game of their series with the White Sox thanks to a Yu Darvish gem. The offensive issues show little sign of abating as the season nears the halfway mark. Kris Bryant will be missing for a while longer with his sprained wrist.
Chicago has a chance to break out the bats in Detroit as they take on the Tigers for three at Comerica Park. Detroit has an ERA near 6.00 as a team and the hitting isn’t much better.
The Tigers are in a full teardown, only Miguel Cabrera remains from the glory days. They did just take two of three from Cleveland, so they aren’t a pushover. That being said, this is a big chance for the Cubs to get back on a roll, let’s see if they can.
