11:00 a.m. American Writers Museum presents a discussion with Catharine Arnold about researching and writing her book Pandemic 1918: Eyewitness Accounts from the Greatest Medical Holocaust in Modern History and what it’s like to publish during a pandemic.

5:00 p.m. Chicago Ideas presents A Virtual Happy Hour with Samantha Irby. “Irby will sit down to talk through life in quarantine, using Irby’s new book Wow, No Thank You, as a jumping off point.”
