It is no secret the Chicago Bears should add a notable name to their quarterback room. At the 2020 NFL Combine, plenty of names are generating buzz.

Did anybody ever have any doubt? It’s the NFL Scouting Combine — of course there will be buzz, and lots of it. If you’re a fan of the Chicago Bears, you have had no shortage of rumors and speculation. But, after this weekend, there might be a lot more than just rumors floating.

Prior to all of the drills taking place, NFL general managers and coaches got a chance to meet with the media in preparation for the big week. If you followed any of what Bears general manager Ryan Pace had to say, along with head coach Matt Nagy, you might have been a little bit confused.

It was clear there were no concrete, uniform opinions on quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. While Pace and Nagy both expressed their faith in him, they also had a differing point of view on how he has progressed in reading defenses and going through his progressions.

Regardless of what their true feelings are on Trubisky, the time spent with the media proved one thing overall: The Bears are bringing in a quarterback to push Trubisky.

The real question is, how much will the next guy push him? Chase Daniel obviously didn’t do much in terms of competition. So, is Pace thinking he will either sign or trade for a veteran? Or, will he opt to draft some fresh blood?

If he goes with the latter, everyone’s next question will be: Who does he have his eye on? Where will Pace decide to draft a guy?

If he decides to bring in a veteran, which one will it be and how long before a deal is done?

This weekend, there was plenty of buzz about a handful of quarterbacks, both prospects and veterans. Four of them, in particular, caught my attention the most.
