The 2020 NFL season is going to be impacted by COVID-19. Fortunately for the Chicago Bears, they are ready.
It seems inevitable, at this point. Fans are getting ready for Chicago Bears football amidst a coming season which continues to look as uncertain as ever. Training camp practices look different around the league. Facilities and operations look different around the league. Yet, the show continues to go on for now.
But, again, it seems inevitable. At some point, COVID-19 will impact the outcome of some teams’ seasons. This coming year very well could come down to which teams can stay healthy, practice safe protocols and manage or avoid the coronavirus altogether.
It seems all too likely that we will see players and coaches test positive throughout this season. All you have to do is take a look at Major League Baseball at the moment. While most teams have done a great job of keeping safety a priority, a few teams have seen their players go out of their way to be careless and they’ve paid the price.
We don’t know what will happen. But, we can continue to stay positive and have faith that each team, coach and player will do their part to keep this virus under control so that the world can enjoy a football season this year.
Teams will be more dependent upon their depth than ever before; at least, that’s the likely scenario. For the Bears, they appear the most ready at a few particular positions — and one may surprise you, in particular.
