Free Your Mind
The Fruit Basket
Consider receiving a fruit basket as a gift. The gift is rightfully yours and you are free to do whatever you want with it. You can keep it to yourself and try to consume it all before it goes bad; you can consume some of it and allow the rest to rot; or you can consume some of it and share some of it with others. Our possessions, including gifts and talents are the same way – never intended for us alone, but rather to be shared with others.
Your impact can be determined by how much you share. The more you keep to yourself, the less exposure your gifts have. But the more you give away, the greater the opportunity for your gifts to be impactful. Don’t hoard what has been gifted to you or allow it to go to waste just because it’s all yours. Share your gifts and they will reproduce fruit.
