The 2021 Chicago Auto Show hasn’t been cancelled

This week on the Consumer Guide Car Stuff Podcast we had a very interesting guest: Dave Sloan, president of the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and general manager of the Chicago Auto Show. He had some very interesting news to share: The 2021 Chicago Auto Show is still in the process of being planned for February 13 through 21.
This is huge news since every other major U.S. auto show has been cancelled, rescheduled or rescheduled again — through September of 2021. It’s also interesting to note Chicago was the last major U.S. auto show in February before all the cancellations began.
So, how is this possible? Well, you’ve got to listen to this week’s episode to find out. Suffice it to say, the folks at the Chicago Auto Show have given a lot of thought about scheduling, cleaning and air filtration. And while you might not see some of the spin off events — like last year’s first annual Miles Per Hour indoor race — the producers of the show are looking to keep things like the First Look for Charity in place.
You really don’t want to miss this episode!
We also take a look at the 2021 GMC Yukon, which we all had the chance to drive in the Chicagoland area. I was even able to see if it would fit in my tiny Chicago garage.
While I will continue to post the podcast to my blog, you can subscribe to the Consumer Guide Car Stuff Podcast on any podcast subscription service or visit the Buzzsprout link. New episodes are usually posted on Friday, and then the show itself airs on WCPT 820 AM on Sundays from 1 to 2 p.m.
