Chicago’s Art and Beer Scene
Event of the season — “Paint It Up Art Weekend”

There are many reasons to explore a gem like Uptown (think art, food, architecture, and rich history). I recently explored the art scene in Uptown, as the murals are abundant and flourishing. I started at the Clifton Street Art Gallery to see the new additions since my last visit. The gallery offers a nice variety of art from several artists.

Get your calendar ready!
The perfect time to do YOUR Uptown exploring is during the “Paint It Up Art Weekend,” being held July 31 through August 2. The event is FREE and I know we all love that word now. Uptown Art Weekend will be one-stop shopping for art appreciators including 100+ works of art, art exhibits, live paintings, and interactive art for you and the kiddos.

Experience as much of it as you can by taking advantage of the event map. Don’t forget to mask up and practice social distancing, as we all want to kiss COVID goodbye as soon as possible.

My greatest passion is street art. I’m constantly pounding the pavement in search of murals with eyes wide open, so follow me on my colorful journey. View all my findings on Instagram @sherhuntsmurals.
Another passion is beer. I consider myself a beer snob with a preference given to stouts and porters. I’m always willing to try new styles because beer is life. Prost!
