Chicago Bears: Three reasons to root for Mitchell Trubiskyon July 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm

Mahomes was taken eight picks after the Bears traded up to select Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick. Now, in 2020, Trubisky stinks and Mahomes is on track to get himself into a company with Tom Brady as the greatest quarterback who ever lived. This is always going to be a tough look for the Bears and their franchise. With that said, we should still be rooting for Mitchell Trubisky to turn it around.

The Chicago Bears went out and got Nick Foles to be there with Trubisky as they try to have a comeback season in 2020. They were 12-4 in 2018 but followed it up with 8-8 in 2019. They went into that 2019 season with Super Bowl aspirations which is why that 8-8 record felt more like 4-12. Their defense was still really good but they had some of the worst offensive statistics in the National Football League and the quarterback deserves a lot of the blame.

Trubisky has been through a lot. Now he has Nick Foles standing right behind him (or in front of him, depending on your point of view), who has had one of the most interesting NFL careers of all-time. He was a Super Bowl MVP but in most other years, he has been average or worse. There are three really good reasons we should be rooting for Mitch to turn it around:
