Chicago police have issued an alert about three recent armed robberies in Northwest Side neighborhoods, including one where the victim was shot.
In each incident, someone was approached by up to three people — described only as males — who flashed a gun and demanded their property, Chicago police said in the community alert.
In one incident, the victim refused to comply and was shot.
The men were seen fleeing in a light blue 1992 Toyota Camry with an Illinois plate BG91347 or an older model white Ford Explorer, police said.

The Chicago Bears might be willing to trade up at the 2021 NFL Draft. We know how important this year’s draft this because of the fact that they really need a quarterback. They may or may not trade up to get someone but they certainly should try.
If they did try to pull off that type of deal, they might need to give up one of their star players. There are a few likely candidates if something like that was going to happen. These are the star players that the Bears would most likely trade in this scenario:
The Chicago Bears told Akiem Hicks that he could seek out a trade on his own but they might be smart to move him in the draft. A team might really want to add a defensive end that creates pressure as well as Hicks does. Losing him would be tough for the Bears pass rush but they have a few other guys there that can do it. The hope is that Khalil Mack is able to have a great year and Robert Quinn is able to bounce back.
Hicks has been a great player for a long time and should continue to be a good player but the Bears are nothing without a quarterback. They have already proved that they can have a good pass rush but still be a mediocre team because the offense can’t move the ball. Any of the teams that are in the top ten that think they can be a winning football team in 2021 might be smart to move down to 20 and take Hicks so the Bears can move up.

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot as he sat in a vehicle in the 2300 block of West Garfield Boulevard.
Three people were shot, one fatally, Wednesday in Chicago including a 19-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in Gage Park on the South Side, according to police.
The man was shot in the chest about 8:45 p.m. while he sat in a parked vehicle with a friend in the 2300 block of West Garfield Boulevard, Chicago police said. His friend drove him to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead,
In non-fatal shootings, a man was found shot in Austin on the West Side. About 11:30 p.m., the unidentified male was found unresponsive in the 4800 block of West Cortez Street, with a gunshot wound to his head, police said. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
In the day’s first reported shooting a man was wounded in South Chicago. The 22-year-old was involved in a fight about 9:40 a.m. in the basement of a residence in the 8700 block of South Marquette Avenue, when someone opened fire striking him in the thigh, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. His condition was not immediately known.
Fifteen people were shot, three of them fatally, Tuesday citywide.
