Stunningly, Matt Nagy already has a new job. Yes, an actual NFL organization looked at Matt Nagy’s body of work and decided that he was worth bringing in. It is even more stunning that the organization that did it is the Kansas City Chiefs who are one of the best in the league.

He has been hired by Kansas City to be the Senior Assistant and Quarterbacks Coach. That is crazy but they have had success together before. He was the offensive coordinator before landing the Bears head coach job.

Former Chicago Bears’ coach Matt Nagy has been hired by the Kansas City Chiefs.

He also receives a lot of credit for Kansas City landing Patrick Mahomes in the 2017 NFL Draft. Everyone thought Mitchell Trubisky and Deshaun Watson would be better besides him and that is about the only thing he has ever been right about.

Now, this is Nagy’s chance to just continue learning and gaining experience in this league. He probably wants to be a coach again in the league. Whether Bears fans like it or not, he does deserve another chance in due time. There is no way that he hasn’t learned from his stubborn mistakes.

Nagy is an incredibly nice man so it is okay to be happy for him. However, he was brutal for the Bears in the working environment. The offense was just stuck and couldn’t do anything to move forward as a unit from year to year.

Matt Eberflus is the guy in Chicago now. It is up to him to rely on the right people to lead this team to where they need to be. He already sounds different than Nagy in terms of trusting other people to run the units while he oversees the entire operation like a true head coach. Hopefully, this turns out to be a good move by the Bears as Nagy could have been the biggest issue.
