A man was shot Saturday morning in Jefferson Park on the Northwest Side.
About 3 a.m., the 27-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle with his friend in the 5100 block of West Agatite Avenue when the two were approached by the alleged shooter who then asked for money, Chicago police said.
When the two stated they didn’t have any money and drove away, the alleged shooter, described as a 5-foot-9 male with a face tattoo in his 20s, opened fire, police said.
The man was taken to Community First Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
