Not a lot to say in preface this week, as I’m gearing up for a string of listings for Illinois Craft Beer Week, starting this weekend. More later.
This week, the World Beer Cup medals were awarded at the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America, meeting in Minneapolis. Medals were award in 100 categories, in a competition sponsored by the Brewers Association,
Local winners included Mickey Finn’s Brewery of Libertyville, whose Moon Rocks took a Silver medal for Session India Pale Ale. Roaring Table of Lake Zurich took a silver for Beth in the Classic Saison competition.
In northwest Indiana, Shoreline Brewery of Michigan City, IN won a bronze in Scottish-Style Ale for Beltaine.
