Chicago’s Week in Beer, May 23-26

is a Ukranian beer being imported as a fundraiser.

Things have calmed down from Illinois Craft Beer Week to the lead-in to Memorial Day. A lot of summer holidays stay pretty light, unless it’s in a town with a parade or other observation.

They may be another new brewer opening this coming weekend. Howard Street Brewing, billing itself as “Chicago’s Northernmost Taproom,” has been trying to get open for nearly two years, owing to COVID, this, that and the other thing. Their web page now shows an opening on Thursday, May 26 at 3 pm. If I can find more details, I’ll post them here (1617 W Howard Street, Chicago).
