It was a three-run home run to put the Cubs ahead 6-2. Despite the way the season has gone for both teams, the Cubs always want to defeat their rivals so seeing Wisdom do it at this moment is huge. It was a nice way to see him break such an impressive record.

Patrick Wisdom’s road to the MLB is anything but average. He had to work his entire career to reach the MLB and he finally did at the age of 30. He is old for a rookie but he is a rookie nonetheless. The funny thing about him breaking this particular record is that he is older than Kris Bryant by one year.

Patrick Wisdom has been everything and more for the Chicago Cubs in 2021.

Wisdom has a chance to be a big piece of the Cubs for the next few years. They may try and trade him to get younger during the offseason because of his age but he has been worthy of praise this season. Breaking a record like that is fun, especially since it was previously held by a Cubs legend like Kris Bryant.

It has been fun to watch Wisdom play this season as he tries to have a nice MLB career. You have heard the saying, “it is better late than never”. Hopefully, Wisdom can continue to be productive and spend his 30s playing big-time baseball with the Chicago Cubs or any other team.
