Well, in 2020, the team isn’t nearly as good but they are a bit deeper as far as skill at the center. Behind Toews right now are some young studs named Kirby Dach and Dylan Strome. There are also a lot of great centermen projected to go in the top-ten of the 2020 NHL Draft. It is the most important forward position to be deep in the National Hockey League. The Hawks have that right now and they need to play their cards right in order to make sure it continues that way.

The fact that Dylan Strome is about to become a restricted free agent has some people wondering what the team is going to do for him. They acquired him in a big trade that sent Nick Schmaltz to the Arizona Coyotes. Schmaltz was a great player but it seemed like he didn’t want to be playing hockey on a lot of nights. If anything, it is clear that Strome is a guy who loves playing.

He is also a highly skilled player that has thrived much more in Chicago than he did in Arizona. He is deserving of a raise on his next contract and the Hawks might need to be the team that gives it to him. These are the three reasons that the Blackhawks should not trade Dylan Strome:
