Beauregard is a four-year-old, easy-going, sweet and gentle, male Abyssinian guinea pig looking for loving guardian.
Beau spent most of his life living as the only guinea pig, but he does get along with some other guinea pigs. He tends to get beat up, so he is blind in one eye.
Guinea pigs eat a diet of unlimited Timothy hay and softer Orchard hay, limited pellets, and fresh greens including romaine, red leaf and green leaf lettuces, cilantro, etc. And, since guinea pigs can’t manufacture their own vitamin C, so he needs daily Vitamin C in the form of a treat, orange slice or red pepper slice.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting him by visiting this excellent web site http://www.guinealynx.info/.
He would love a home with a family who will handle him daily, keep him well fed, and keep his habitat nice and clean.

He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
His adoption fee of $50 benefits the friends of Petraits Rescue. For an additional $75, we’ll include a starter kit of everything you need to care for him including cage, hay, litter, food, hidey hut, favorite alligator bed and water bottle.
