Sometimes the danger in this writing business is that the scribe doesn’t express himself well enough. It’s not the fault of the reader if the message isn’t clear, or is confusing, or contradictory.
Thus it was with my post yesterday, “Dump Trump.”
In it, I expressed my deep worry that Trump will lose the election and
Senator Strom Thurmond, another proud Democrat.
obliterate the conservative agenda. I was suggesting that the Republican Party and America might be better off with Vice President Mike Pence as the presidential candidate. But some readers thought I was saying that Trump should not be re-elected.
Far from that was my intent. A Biden administration would be a disaster. It wouldn’t be his administration, but the puppeteers will run it, counting on his ever-more-apparent lose of competency It will be an opaque shadow administration that will be controlled by the Obama/Clinton kleptomaniacs or the far-left crazies.
In their efforts to expunge any wisp of wrong, Democrats ought to get rid of their name. The Democratic Party, whose roots go as far back as the earliest days of the Republic, can proudly boast of Andrew Jackson, the slave-owners, secessionists, the instigators of Jim Crow and segregationist legislation, Woodrow Wilson, the Dixiecrats, the Southern Tory Democrats, George Wallace and opposition to the Civil Rights and similar laws. Remember the Jefferson/Jackson Day celebrations by the Democratic Party?
Sure, that’s not today’s party. The Democratic Party has jumped the moderate, middle group and plummeted into an alliance wit the autocratic, class-war radical left.
God help us.
