Is it Covid or the common cold?

Mucus dripping down your throat (post-nasal drip)
You’re in bed or on the couch like the dude in the photo. Back in the old days, under normal life, if you had the above symptoms you’d think you had a common cold. A week or so of feeling crappy and then you’d feel fine. But nothing has been considered normal in the last eighteen months because:
Sneezing.Stuffy nose.Runny nose.Sore throat.Coughing.Mucus dripping down your throat (post-nasal drip)Watery eyes.Fever
are also symptoms of Covid. So….how can you tell the difference?
When you get your first chill and your nose starts running, do you first think it’s a cold or do you go right to Covid? Is the only way to tell what it really is by getting a rapid Covid test? If so, can you trust the results of that test?
It’s all so confusing, but what hasn’t been in 2021? I think I’ll just blow my nose, drink some hot tea with honey and get back to bed. That’s what you do with a cold, right? RIGHT?!
